This one day presentation is sponsored by the Pittsburgh Academy of Dentistry.
This full day will emphasize basic TMD concepts for the general dentist to help demystify TMD and allow the attendees to better understand, diagnose, and treat many of their existing patients.
Too often it is suggested that as general dentists we don't treat "TMD." The fact is that many of our patients have some degree of dysfunction, and even more have a degree of symptoms that can in some way be assoicated with a dysfunction. Learn how to diagnose and help these people in a predictable way.
Don't let the Dental Wars that exist in our profession prevent you from helping your patients in ways you could never imagine.

It's use in treatment will be explored, and unlike the basic BioMetrics course, treatment modalities will be reviewed in detail. In addition to the in depth evaluation of all three modules (with most attention being on JVA), there will be case presentations and in depth discussion of treatment decision making based on all diagnostic criteria in additon to the BioPAK information . Mr. John Radke will give an added dimension to the course with his explanations of not only the history but of the engineering of the information gleaned and how that information relates clinically.

In-House TMD and Pain Course
11/6/08 - 11/8/08 • Allentown, PA
Tuition: $3,250
Tuition includes all meals and an extensive reference manual. This course has limited registration and provides up close and personal treatment of patients, pertinent lectures, and a hands-on portion for insertion of NTI’s, B splints, and a daytime parafunctional appliance. The “pearls” never stop – between how the staff evaluates and treats patients -- how the scheduling is done -- how finances are discussed -- how new patients are scheduled and interviewed -- and much more!
This course is an intensive three days of lecture and patient care that is sure to improve your effectiveness in treating chronic pain and joint dysfunction. Enrollment is limited to six to eight participants. An emphasis is placed on diagnostically driven therapy and a new patient will be evaluated during the course. Topics include all appliance and supportive therapies (physical therapy and injection therapy) as well as segments in practice management, insurance, and an introduction to dental sleep medicine.
The lectures will describe the treatment model that you will then see in action. Many have suggested that the new patient experience alone is worth the visit!
Angela is very careful to schedule as many types of patients as possible during the two days of patient care. You will be witness to problem solving as well as success stories. The purpose of the scheduling is your education; not to demonstrate success after success.
If you are interested in hearing some of the responses to the pain course, contacts of those who have taken the course are available simply by asking Angela for them.
This is an experience you don’t want to miss and will not only help you treat patients with pain complaints, but will effect how you treat every patient in your office!
Hotel information and where to send your models will be sent to you approximately one month before the course Full refunds (minus fifty dollar registration fee) available 30 days before course date. Full credit for future courses after that date.

The use of ambulatory studies is taught in a way that allows it to be used immediately and totally accepted by sleep medicine. All forms used in the
